Two brothers from the Bronx who served in the Iraq war were sworn in as New York City police officers Tuesday morning.
Armando Guzman is a former Marine, while his brother, Robey, served in the Navy. They both returned from a year in Iraq and say they?re prepared to protect whatever community they?re assigned to, although the Bronx is their preference.
"Growing up in the Bronx, I saw a lot of people not being able to speak up for themselves, so as a police officer, I want to be their voice," says Robey Guzman.
The Guzmans are among 1,000 officers who graduated Tuesday at Madison Square Garden.
