There is bad news if you're banking on a quick tax refund from the IRS.
The Taxpayer Advocate Service now says the agency is holding 31 million returns for manual processing.
That's 2 million more than just a few weeks ago.
They say the backlog has to do with working through paper returns.
The IRS fell behind with them because of the pandemic.
