Commuters are dealing with long delays and confusion during the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
A lack of J and M train service since Friday has left riders relying on shuttle buses and limited alternatives.
At Chauncey Street, some commuters were being turned away and told to wait for shuttles that can take up to 40 minutes.
For many riders, that wait is as long as their usual commute.
The disruption is affecting trips to and from Manhattan, with the L train serving as the only option and no transfer available at Broadway Junction.
One commuter said the delays made the experience frustrating. “It’s a wait and a wait and you feel underserved, especially coming from Manhattan,” the rider said.
Crowded shuttle buses and packed trains have added to the strain, with long lines forming at stations. Some riders have turned to social media to voice complaints, calling for more notice from the MTA.
Service is expected to resume Monday, but frustration remains among commuters dealing with the disruption.
