Tenants living at the James Monroe Houses are calling for improvements to be made to the lighting in the area.
The residents say some areas that need more light include the entrance at Lafayette and Taylor avenues as well as the entrance at Lafayette and Beach avenues.
New York City Housing Authority officials say they have arranged to have broken lights at the Monroe Houses fixed as soon as possible.
