A local educator is at risk of losing his job following a texting scandal at a Manhattan Beach school.
According to investigators, Assistant Principal Christian Del Re, of Leon M. Goldstein High School for the Sciences, exchanged more than 2,900 text messages with an 18-year-old student.
A spokesperson for the Department of Education (DOE) says Del Re was reassigned before the first day of school, but that officials are looking to have him fired.
