The Palliative Care Services at Lincoln Hospital has received advanced certification from the Joint Commission health care evaluation group, one of the group's highest distinctions.
Doctors say their program is designed to not only empower patients and their families, but to also focus on chronic pain management.
Lincoln is one of only 12 hospitals in the country and two in New York to receive the honor.
