Jury selection began today in the trial of a man accused of killing an aspiring dancer from Bay Ridge.
Police say Michael Mele, a registered sex offender, met Laura Garza at a Manhattan nightclub in 2008 and was the last person seen with her.
Garza's body was found in Pennsylvania two years later. Mele has pleaded not guilty to murder and manslaughter charges.
