A ritual to “hex” Brett Kavanaugh will take place at Catland Books in Bushwick later this month after more than a thousand people expressed interest in attending on Facebook.
People are expected to come to the bookstore and “curse” the new Supreme Court justice, along with all those community members call “rapists” and “the patriarchy” on Oct 20.
It comes after a bitterly partisan confirmation process for Kavanaugh, who faced allegations of sexual assault. Kavanaugh denied the allegations. His confirmation to the court sparked debate and protests.
The ritual is being organized by Dakota Bracciale, who also created events last year to “hex” President Donald Trump.
Bracciale says the ritual is about getting justice and helping those who are survivors of sexual assault.
Proceeds from this event will go to Planned Parenthood and the Ali Forney Center.
