A platform partially collapsed at the 18th Avenue subway station in Brooklyn Tuesday during the morning rush hour, officials say.
According to a Metropolitan Transportation Authority spokesperson, an 8x 4 chunk of concrete crumbled onto the roadway under the elevated station, leaving a gaping hole in the platform.
Workers who were sent to repair the damage say no cars were hit by the block of concrete and no one was injured.
While repair work on the platform continues, the station will remain open. MTA officials say they do not expect delays on the F train service due to the incident.
