Saturday marked 12th Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC Race for the Kids, part of Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play.
Events promoting health and wellness for kids were held across the nation, including one in Brooklyn.
In Prospect Park, Brooklyn Nets players Jeremy Lin and Joe Harris made guest appearances.
Kids also had a chance to run through slime obstacle courses, take photos with Nickelodeon characters and participate in other fitness-themed activities.
The Brooklyn event was sponsored by Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City and a few professional sports leagues charity organizations.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC also raised $500,000 for the organization with a 5K race.
