Kids may be eligible for vaccines in September

Fauci says by the time kids go back to school in the fall, vaccines could be authorized for first graders.

The nation's top infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci says the COVID-19 vaccine may be available to kids in September.
Fauci says by the time kids go back to school in the fall, vaccines could be authorized for first graders.
The Pfizer and Moderna shots currently can be used for people who are at least 16 or 18, respectively.
Both companies are conducting clinical trials for children as young as 12.
Results from the trials are expected by mid-year.
