Residents lined the streets today in Bay Ridge to watch the 145th annual Kings County Memorial Day Parade march down 87th Street.
Many parade attendees say they came to honor both those who are serving in the armed forces and those who gave their lives for the country.
William Harris, a 94-year-old veteran, was among those who attended the parade. He says he felt the need to be there to remember and reflect on those who he served with.
