Game 1 of the New York Knicks’ playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers kicks off this Saturday in Cleveland.
Knicks star power forward Julius Randle sprained his ankle against the Miami Heat two weeks ago, ending his regular season where he averaged a career-high 25 points per game.
With less than three days until the start of the series, Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau weighed in on the potential for Randle to be ready to suit up.
“It’s hard to say… just taking it day by day,” said Thibodeau. “The thing I like is that each day has been better, so if he’s ready, he’s ready.”
The Knicks currently have the fifth-best road record in the NBA, and their first two games will be in Cleveland before returning to Madison Square Garden on April 21 for Game 3.
