Knife-wielding sandal thief slashes 82-year-old man in Brooklyn
Investigators say the suspect approached the victim in front of 590 Dekalb Ave., where they began to engage in an argument.

Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect who stole an 82-year-old man’s shoes in a violent knifepoint robbery on Sept. 19.
Investigators say the suspect approached the victim in front of 590 Dekalb Ave., where they began to engage in an argument.
The person then displayed a knife, slashed him in the hand and took his sandals before fleeing southbound on Nostrand Avenue.
Police say the man was left with minor injuries. Anyone with additional information is urged to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
