Kravings Kafe in Old Mill Basin has had a complete 180-degree turn in their fortunes and sales, after a visit from social media star Keith Lee who often highlights small businesses in need of more customers. Following the visit and subsequent video, the cafe tells News 12 they have gone from serving five customers per day with thoughts of shuttering the businesses, to over 40. There was a line out the door for food on Saturday afternoon. "I couldn't believe it. I couldn't think it was possible to turn around how dead his business was, andnow we are just so excited the people are showing out and we're just so grateful. It's an amazing feeling," said owner Elveda Dorce. Dorce tells News 12 that the businesses, which serves rolled ice cream, acai bowls and fresh juices, also received donations from Lee that they will be using to hire staff to run the businesses, as it is currently staffed by her family. "We want to get that staff, and we are just so thankful," she said, adding that they had tagged the social media creator on social media hoping for this turn around to happen.
