Police say the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. near New Hampshire Avenue and Chestnut Street. Investigators say one driver allegedly slammed the other driver’s face into a vehicle and struck him, causing him to lose consciousness.

A road rage incident in Lakewood led to a two-car crash and an aggravated assault arrest Friday.
Police say the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. near New Hampshire Avenue and Chestnut Street. Investigators say one driver allegedly slammed the other driver’s face into a vehicle and struck him, causing him to lose consciousness.
The victim was left with a small cut.
Police arrested 39-year-old Thomas Vance of Toms River and charged him with aggravated assault.
