As cases continue to spike in the area, people are starting to line up in numbers to get tested, especially outside urgent care locations across the city.
With Thanksgiving just a day away, many people are choosing to go to CityMD locations instead of NYC Health + Hospital locations for the rapid results.
People have been seen waiting hours for COVID tests at various CityMD locations across the city.
A CityMD spokesperson told News 12 they're working hard to get people in and out.
Recent data shows positivity infection rates are creeping up in certain neighborhoods. Parts of the Bronx and parts of Brooklyn are considered yellow zones.
"Thanksgiving is upon us and people are going to celebrate, and I have said please and our health leadership has said, please celebrate safely, focus on the people closest to you and small gatherings and virtual gatherings to avoid travel and keep everyone safe,” says Mayor Bill de Blasio.
