At America's Food Basket in Canarsie, shoppers were seen stocking up on everyday items like milk, bread and eggs. Kerry Ann Johnson, a Canarsie resident, shared her own preparation strategy. "I'm trying to get most of the necessary stuff, like snacks. We all need it, especially with a child at home," Johnson said. "I want to make sure I have everything done today or early tomorrow morning, so I’m not out in the snow or icy weather." The wintry conditions could impact travel and commutes throughout the weekend.
