Long Island University unveiled its new state-of-the-art nursing facility Wednesday in Downtown Brooklyn.
Some of the new technology includes robotic patients that instructors can control to simulate what might happen in the emergency room.
A $10 million donation from the Heilbrunn family funded the new resources, says Dr. Judith Erickson, the head of the school's nursing program.
Dr. Erickson says the school now has the ability to simulate almost every scenario a nurse would deal with in the hospital, from the intensive care unit to the maternity ward.
