A local basketball star is ready for his next challenge – suiting up for North Carolina.
Cardinal Hayes High School junior Ian Jackson announced his commitment back on Jan. 16 to play for the Tar Heels in two years.
Jackson is the third in a recent line of CHSAA guards to commit to UNC, following in the footsteps of Archbishop Molloy's Cole Anthony -- now with the Orlando Magic -- and current UNC point guard R.J. Davis, who went to Stepinac.
