Project Renewal, a local nonprofit organization, served up its 2 millionth meal for needy Brooklyn residents on Monday.
The charity, which provides food catered by real chefs, serves gourmet meals to the homeless, people in supportive housing and senior centers.
In addition to feeding the needy, Project Renewal also provides a culinary arts training program.
The program then helps its students find jobs, according to Mitchell Netburn, the project's chief executive.
