As the cost of eggs rises nationwide, Embassy Diner in Bethpage is feeling the impact.
The bird flu is affecting egg prices, causing high demand for supply.
Diner owner Gus Tsiorvas says the diner orders an average of 36 cases of eggs a week, with 30 dozen eggs in each case. Roughly, the restaurant goes through 13,000 eggs a week! He says they are spending about $5,000 more weekly for the same supply.
Gus says he doesn't plan to raise prices right now.
