Jack Ceglie, a senior at the Long Island High School for the Arts, recently won the Roger Rees Award for outstanding performance in a musical.

It's a competition he's been to before, only this time around, he won.

"Three times is the charm. I was a nominee, then a finalist and this year I ended up winning," explained Ceglie.

The senior beat out hundreds to place first in the state.

"I owe it to the Long Island High School for the Arts," he added.

Ceglie is now preparing for the Jimmy Awards, a national competition, dubbed the "Tony Awards" for teens.

The competition takes place on June 23.
