Long lines lingered at FEMA's Mobile Disaster Recovery Center in Coney Island today.
Officials asked residents to bring pictures, insurance papers and other important documents to make applying for disaster assistance easier. Everyone on the line was asked to fill out claims and had a chance to speak with a FEMA representative.
Officials said they will inspect resident's properties in the next few days to see if they qualify for aid.
The relief center was only open for the day.
