As millions of families around the city are getting ready for Christmas Eve, many Brooklyn residents are racing to pick up last-minute treats for the table.

At Allan's Bakery in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, the line of people stretched out of the store and across the sidewalk. That's because the bakery on Nostrand Avenue specializes in traditional Caribbean treats.

The bakery sells doubles, pastries and sponge cake and Christmas black cake, a staple in many Caribbean families.

Workers at Allan's Bakery say this is one of their busiest times of the year.
