Hundreds of daily trains in and out of the borough could be brought to a halt if Long Island Rail Road workers go on strike. 

Union officials say they're preparing to go on strike this weekend after negotiations with the MTA broke down Monday. It would impact 300,000 riders who travel between New York City and Long Island each day.

The two sides are butting heads over a new contract, with the biggest sticking point involving whether future LIRR workers would have to contribute to health insurance and pensions.

The Brooklyn rail stops that would be affected are Atlantic Terminal, Nostrand Avenue and East New York stations, which all connect to the transit hub in Jamaica, Queens.
