Latin Americans in the Hudson Valley are reacting to the capture of Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro and his wife following overnight strikes in the country.

Maduro and his wife arrived Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at New York Stewart Air National Guard base in Newburgh, Orange County. Their capture was the culmination of a U.S. air, land and sea military attack on Venezuela that involved at least 150 aircraft.

Maduro was at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn Saturday night, where he awaited criminal charges for his and his wife's alleged roles in a narco-terrorism conspiracy.

News 12's Carol Wilkinson spoke with members of the Venezuelan and Latin American culture in the Hudson Valley on Saturday.
