Man arrested after Sunset Park slashing leaves 23-year-old injured

A man is under arrest after a slashing in Sunset Park left a 23-year-old man injured late Wednesday night.
Police say the attack happened around 10:30 p.m. outside 5812 Eighth Ave.
Investigators say the 23-year-old was slashed in the head and left arm. EMS took him to NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn, formerly known as Lutheran Hospital, where police say he is in stable condition.
Police arrested 45-year-old Lin Zheng and charged him with three counts of assault.
News 12 was at the scene as officers placed a man in handcuffs and put him into the back of a police vehicle. Police also recovered two knives at the scene.
Investigators have not said what led to the attack or whether the victim and the man charged knew each other.
