Man arrested for shovel assault in Gravesend

Police have arrested a man they say assaulted an older man with a shovel in Gravesend.
Sean P Abt was arrested and charged with two counts of assault. Police say that on Dec. 27, in the vicinity of Stryker Court and West 1st Street, he hit a 71-year-old man in the face with a shovel.
News 12 spoke to the victim, Vito, who says he was clearing snow off his car outside of his home when Abt attacked him.
Vito was able to call his neighbors for help and was taken to NYC Health+Hospitals/Coney Island.
