Police are searching for the man they say is responsible for attacking a 39-year-old with brass knuckles and slashing him with a sharp object outside a deli in East Flatbush.

Authorities say the violent incident on April 3 started as an argument in front of 1585 Flatbush Ave. just before 2:30 a.m.

The man first punched the victim in the face with brass knuckles before pulling out a sharp object and slashing him multiple times.

EMS took the 39-year-old to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where he is expected to recover, according to police.

The man got into a black sedan and headed northbound on Flatbush Avenue. Authorities say he was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, black and red pants, a black hat and red and black pants.

Anyone with information is urged to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
