A man was caught on video surveillance stealing from a woman in a Yorktown superstore, according to police.

Authorities say the footage captures the man reaching into a woman's purse and taking her wallet at the BJ's on Crompond Road in Yorktown Heights.
Police say a review of store video shows the victim had her purse resting in her shopping cart when it happened, but she didn't notice her wallet was gone until she was at the register.

He left with her wallet in just seconds.
