Man charged in deadly hit-and-run in Crown Heights

Police say the victim was struck when the driver was driving a 2008 Mercury in reverse.

A Brooklyn man now faces charges in connection to a deadly hit-and-run that took place in Crown Heights.

Clossie Spencer, 31 was arrested and charged with manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, reckless endangerment and failure to exercise due care.

According to police, Spencer was driving in reverse when he struck and killed Mimi Liebenberg, 36, at the intersection of Pacific and Buffalo avenues in August 2022.
