The NYPD has identified the man killed in an early morning shooting on Saturday, April 5, in Sheepshead Bay.

According to police, 31-year-old Vincent Idlett was shot multiple times inside 3012 Avenue W around 2:30 a.m. He was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

On Sunday, April 6, police arrested and charged his 25-year-old brother, Javon Japa, with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. Both men lived at the same address, according to investigators.

The investigation into what led up to the shooting is ongoing.
