Beacon police posted about on Facebook that they got a call just before 7 p.m. Saturday about shots fired off West Center Street at the Forrestal Heights affordable housing complex parking lot near South Avenue Park.
When officers arrived, they found 32-year-old Lionell Pittman dead.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to call them at (845) 831-4111.
