(11/26/07) HOMECREST ? Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that took place in an East 15th Street apartment early Monday.

Investigators say the 30-year-old victim, who lived at 1718 E. 15th St., was stabbed in his sleep. Officers arrived at the scene at approximately 3 a.m. and found the victim with wounds to his neck and head. He was later pronounced dead.

A woman, who sources say is the victim's wife, has been taken into custody. Charges against her are pending.

Police were seen removing bags of evidence from the apartment.
