A man was found shot to death in a car in a East 233rd Street parking lot, police say.
Police say the victim, a Hispanic male in his late 20s, was shot once in the head. The discovery was made around 4 a.m. Monday by a truck driver who usually parks in the lot, located at 1578 East 233rd St.
The victim was found in a white 2007 Nissan Altima parked behind a blue fence. The driver who called 911 says he heard loud music coming from the car, even though all the windows were rolled up.
The victim?s cousin told News 12 The Bronx that he is not aware of any personal conflicts his cousin may have had. According to the cousin, the victim worked as an unlicensed cab driver out of a base on Dyre Avenue.
Some truck drivers who frequent the lot say they?ve never seen the Nissan before. However, one driver remembers seeing the Nissan parked in the same spot Sunday night.
No arrests have been made so far, but police are still investigating.
