A man was fatally shot inside a high-rise apartment building at 2007 Surf Ave. in Coney Island at around 8:45 a.m., according to investigators.
Police say they responded to Unity Towers and found a 43-year-old man laying unresponsive in a hallway on the 13th floor.
The man suffered gunshot wounds to the stomach and head. EMS reported him dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
A suspect or suspects remain at large, according to police, and the investigation is ongoing.
