Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the person who stabbed a man Monday night in East Flatbush.

Authorities say an unknown individual approached the 31-year-old victim near 3113 Church Ave. and stabbed him in the torso.

The man was rushed to Kings County Hospital and remains in stable condition.

Police sources say the suspect fled the scene eastbound on Church Avenue.

The events leading to the stabbing were not immediately clear.
