A man is dead following a hit-and-run on Rockaway Parkway early Saturday morning. Police say a 59-year-old man was crossing the parkway when he was struck by a dark-colored car at around 2:30 a.m.

A man is dead following a hit-and-run on Rockaway Parkway early Saturday morning.
Police say a 59-year-old man was crossing the parkway when he was struck by a dark-colored car at around 2:30 a.m. They say the driver then fled the scene.
The victim was transported to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the man was not using the crosswalk when he was hit.
The victim's name has not yet been released and police have made no arrests in the case so far.
