A late-night shooting in Bedford-Stuyvesant left one man dead and a woman recovering Friday morning.
Police say it happened just before midnight Thursday outside an apartment building on Lexington Avenue. A 28-year-old man was shot in the head and later died at Kings County Hospital. A 23-year-old woman was also grazed in the neck by a bullet but is in stable condition.
When detectives arrived, they found a scooter left on the sidewalk and shell casings scattered across the street. A News 12 reporter counted at least 21 evidence markers lined up on the ground.
Investigators say two men took off running after the shooting—one dressed in all blue and the other in a gray shirt, light pants, and dark sneakers. They were last seen heading north on Marcy Avenue.
Right now, no one has been arrested, and police haven’t said if the two victims knew each other.
