Man on electric bike killed in chain-reaction crash

A bicyclist was killed Tuesday morning while after crashing into the open door of a vehicle and then being hit by a car.

A bicyclist was killed Tuesday morning while after crashing into the open door of a vehicle and then being hit by a car.
News 12 is told the incident happened just before 6 a.m. near 28th Street and Third Avenue in Greenwood Heights.
Police say 26-year-old Hugo Alexander Sinto Garcia was riding an electric bike when he crashed into the open door of a parked taxi cab.
The impact caused Garcia to fall off his bike and into the roadway, where he was struck by a Nissan.
Garcia was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Both vehicle drivers remained on the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
