Police are looking for a man accused of robbing at least two food vendors at gunpoint in Flatbush since September. Investigators say the first incident happened around 3:45 a.m. on Sept. 8 near East 18th Street and Church Avenue. Police say, a 29-year-old food vendor confronted a man who refused to pay for merchandise. The suspect then pulled out a gun, made a threat, and ran off with the items. About five weeks later, on Oct. 17, police say the same man targeted another vendor around 4:30 a.m. outside 1451 Nostrand Ave. They say the man displayed a firearm and took about $80 in cash before running south on Nostrand Avenue. The suspect is described as a man last seen wearing a black baseball cap, gray sweatshirt, gray shorts and black sneakers. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS. All calls are anonymous.
