A man was pistol-whipped during an attempted robbery incident in Bath Beach.
Police say that the incident happened just after 8:30 p.m. on Sunday evening at Bay 38th Street and Cropsey Avenue. The robber went up to a 55-year-old man and demanded money before hitting him in the head with a firearm and taking off.
No property was taken from the victim, who refused medical attention at the scene.
