Police surrounded a Bronx school Tuesday after a man apparently tried to enter the building without permission. School officials say the man attempted to enter PS 30 through a side door and was stopped by an aide. According to officials, the man said he needed to drop off money for someone inside. When the aide noticed a bulge inside the man?s jacket, she denied him access, thinking he may have a weapon. The man then allegedly ran off and jumped in a nearby car on 141st Street. The aide called 911 and police swarmed the school. The New York City Department of Education says police are still investigating the incident, however, it feels there is no threat to the school or the students.
