Police say that a 64-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle while riding a scooter Thursday morning in Morris Park.

The accident occurred just before 11 a.m. near 1510 Waters Place.

EMS responded to the crash and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police say the man was traveling northbound in the busy two-way intersection when he was hit.

Police do not have a description of the car.
