Police say a 33-year-old man was shot in the leg in Soundview.
Officers responded to 1255 Commonwealth Ave. just before 7 p.m. Monday.
The man was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he is expected to recover.
Authorities say the man would not provide information about his assailant.
