A man was slashed in the face after an argument broke out in front of a hair salon on Nostrand Avenue in East Flatbush Saturday.

Police say it happened outside of a salon located 20-30 Nostrand Ave. Witnesses at the salon tell News 12 that they saw a group of about eight people running up and down the street, when one person pulled out a knife and slashed a man in his face.

Witnesses say they group then fled down Nostrand Avenue toward Farragut Road.

The victim was hospitalized in stable condition.

Police say no arrests have been made at this time.

Witnesses say it appeared alcohol may have contributed to the argument getting out of control.
