Man sought for robbing teen boy in Cypress Hills

The NYPD says the man approached the 16-year-old boy near Eldert Lane and Jamaica Avenue just before 9 a.m. on Nov. 25.

Police are searching for a man they say robbed a teenage boy in Cypress Hills.

The NYPD says the man approached the 16-year-old boy near Eldert Lane and Jamaica Avenue just before 9 a.m. on Nov. 25.

The masked robber put his arm around the boy’s shoulders, made threats to harm him and demanded his property.

Police say the boy handed over his sweater and was not injured.

The robber ran from the scene, traveling southbound on Grant Avenue. The NYPD says he is approximately 18 to 20 years old and was last seen wearing all black, a ski mask, white sneakers and a blue bookbag.

Police ask anyone with information to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
