Man standing on platform shoved into moving train in Highbridge

Police say Anton Aleshin, 29, of Brooklyn is charged with attempted murder.

A 73-year-old man was pushed into the side of a train in Highbridge as it was approaching.

It happened at the 161 Yankee Stadium subway station at around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police say the man was standing on the platform when he was pushed into an oncoming train by a 29-year-old Brooklyn man named Anton Aleshin.

The man struck the side of the train and landed back on the platform.

Officials say the victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.

Aleshin is now facing attempted murder, assault and reckless endangerment charges.
