A 73-year-old man was pushed on to the side of a train as it was approaching.

Police say the man was standing on the platform when he was pushed by an unidentified person.

The man struck the side of the train and landed back on the platform.

It all happened at the 161 Yankee Stadium subway station at around 3:30 a.m.

Officials say the victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.

A person of interest has been taken into custody. No charges have officially been made.
