Worshipers say they feel disappointed and frustrated after hearing a man walked into their Sheepshead Bay mosque and stole a jacket with hundreds of dollars in it, during a time of prayer.
The NYPD is still searching for a man they say entered the Muslim Community Center on East 28th and Voorhies Avenue, where he stole that jacket with a wallet that had $700 and six credit cards.
Police haven't been able to identify him since Aug. 14, when they say he was last seen wearing green pants, a white shirt, black hat and a mask, possibly to conceal his identity.
Anyone who thinks they may have seen him is asked to contact police.
